Management Research Services, Inc. is a national insurance services firm. MRS has served the health and life insurance industry for over 20 years by providing a broad suite of risk-assessment services including:

• Medical records retrieval
• Tele-interviews and tele-underwriting services
• On-demand access to data-mining and workflow management technology

In order to maintain a competitive advantage, MRS has invested heavily in developing a robust technology infrastructure to manage and automate core business processes including:

• document imaging and management,
• work queue management,
• payroll and billing.

More recently, MRS has begun to offer the use of this platform directly to customers in an effort to develop a more integrated partnership with each client. MRS is in the process of hiring experienced LAMP developers to enhance, maintain and support our core technology platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing enterprise scale projects using PHP and MySQL.
• 3+ years of experience of working with the Linux operating system (installing the OS, configuring applications, writing shell scripts, backing up data etc.).
• 5+ years of object-oriented programming experience.
• Understanding of large scale, multi-tier web application architecture.
• Project experience with:
  • XML and DOM parsing,
  • serving/consuming SOAP and REST based Web Services,
  • writing ad-hoc SQL queries and reports.
• Experience with parallel technologies such as Python, Perl, C++ is a strong plus.
• Must be able to share a portfolio of work that reflects best-practices and innovative approaches to problem-solving and solution design.
