LAMP-PHP Developer
Description
Management Research Services, Inc. is a national insurance services firm. MRS has served the health and life insurance industry for over 20 years by providing a broad suite of risk-assessment services including:
- Medical records retrieval
- Tele-interviews and tele-underwriting services
- On-demand access to data-mining and workflow management technology
In order to maintain a competitive advantage, MRS has invested heavily in developing a robust technology infrastructure to manage and automate core business processes including:
- document imaging and management,
- work queue management,
- payroll and billing.
More recently, MRS has begun to offer the use of this platform directly to customers in an effort to develop a more integrated partnership with each client. MRS is in the process of hiring experienced LAMP developers to enhance, maintain and support our core technology platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing enterprise scale projects using PHP and MySQL.
- 3+ years of experience of working with the Linux operating system (installing the OS, configuring applications, writing shell scripts, backing up data etc.).
- 5+ years of object-oriented programming experience.
- Understanding of large scale, multi-tier web application architecture.
- Project experience with:
- XML and DOM parsing,
- serving/consuming SOAP and REST based Web Services,
- writing ad-hoc SQL queries and reports.
- Experience with parallel technologies such as Python, Perl, C++ is a strong plus.
- Must be able to share a portfolio of work that reflects best-practices and innovative approaches to problem-solving and solution design.
